Edward Snowden, a whistleblower hero or a villain?
» Edward Snowden was an NSA contractor who released lots of secret documents about NSA's surveillance of the general public to a group of journalists. He motivates his actions saying:
”My sole motive is to inform the public as to that which is done in their name and that which is done against them.”
He also elaborated that:
”I acted on my belief that the NSA's mass surveillance programs would not withstand a constitutional challenge, and that the American public deserved a chance to see these issues determined by open courts … today, a secret program authorized by a secret court was, when exposed to the light of day, found to violate Americans' rights.”
The U.S. government think Snowden is a traitor, others say he’s a patriot. What do you think of Edward Snowden?
